Can anyone tell me tire pressure for the 315-70-17 tires? I had mine put on today and the dealer put 50 pounds in and said to check here on TDR and see what was correct. I paid 180 each installed and balanced in Bricktown NJ today. I am thrilled by the performance. I am getting the leveling kit installed tomorrow morning and I will be all set. I will post pics when done although my truck looks exactly like Ducks Ram only two tone Pat blue with silver bottom below moulding Thanks<<>>

50 PSI is the max psi, my tire guy who mounted them told me to run @ 44, have been at that psi for about 2 weeks so far so good. Good luck with the new truck & the tires. You can see pics on the thread 03 2500 larger tires. Mine came out to $160, bought them @ www.tirerack.com that includes shipping and having them mounted and balanced localy. Oo.

I run 45psi in mine CM, and am real happy with the ride.

I think BFG should start paying advertising fees to the forum. Who knows how many 315/70's they'll sell as a result of all the talk and pictures!

PICS PICS PICS! I almost went with the 2-tone, but changed my mind at the last minute.

45 psi here too, and extremely happy.

I should of had my spare 315 friday, but fedex seems to have misrouted or or somehow screwed it up. .

Update on Alignment

I installed the leveling kit yesterday and bright and early this AM I brought my truck in for a wheel alignment . To my surprise I picked it up this afternoon and the garage said the front end was still within tolerance!!Great news that the kit does not knock out the alignment. He did say though that with these tires, rotation was needed every 3000 miles!!Holy smokes the lugs will get worn out. My truck was the talk of the whole garage today and he gave me a 20 dollar break on the oil change for good luck . I will post the pics as soon as I can figure out how!!

I ordered my 315-70-17 BFG's last week through a tire service here in the city. This gentleman is the manager and got my tires at his cost plus $5. 00 ea. Tire Rack sells them wholesale for $113. 00 ea. plus $13. 00 ea. for shipping, so they are still making their money. However, I used to have 35-12. 50-16. 5 on my 88' F250 and I ran the tire pressure at 35 front and 25-26 in the rear in order to get a full even wear. Did me well for 3 years before I sold them for a new set.

So. I get my tires installed on Saturday and I am looking forward to the ride and handling. Wonder what this will do to fuel milage? Only getting 14 MPG just running errands, seems weak??

I verified my alignment too but it was correct, before and after. Remember a trackbar / live axle / 4 link suspension will remain in alignment when lifted or lowered via the spring height, unless you loosen the cams or drag link adjustment, unlike every Ford better idea.

I'm at 45/45 now and it feels just right.

Is it just my imagination or do these 315s wake up the 4. 10 gears? I love them, and the truck seems to get even more life in it now and I've had the tires on for only 6 hours... Oo. $197 installed at Discount, a little high compared ot the rest of y'all but I got em! I can post a before and after profile pic if anyone wants to see yet another 2500 with real tires... 45 PSI all the way around for me right now...

Shocks?

Have any of you that installed the 2" leveling kit used the stock shocks? If so have you had any problem with them? Thanks for the info. JD

Stock Shocks

I had no problem at all with the stock shocks and the leveling kit. I also concur that the ride is much better with these tires, the only problem I have is the big step to the ground, you should see my wife getting in with a skirt on !!!! and I hate running boards.

I'd really like to get an A-Pillar guage kit, but I've grown accustomed to grabbing that handle to get in every time...

That is the biggest problem with the setup.

The wife grunts every time she climbs in or falls out. Some Kodiak Sidewinder steps should solve that though.

Ordered mine last week. :D

David- Did you order 4 of them or 2?

You HAVE TO post pics and the install story once you get them on. I'm most curious about where/how they bolt on, and how hard the wiring is to connect. The local Fly-N-Hi said they charge $100/each for installation!

Four of those puppies are the next thing on my long wish list of upgrades.

I ordered 2 (fronts), with the intention of getting the rear 2 after I'm satisfied with the fronts. Installation doesn't look too bad to me, the door switch may be the one fiddly bit. Hopefully they'll be here mid next week. . I'll post pics and all for sure.
