On my 2004. 5 600 CTD 4WD Dually the sticker says to run 65 PSI front and rear at max GVW. What are you guys running in the tires when the bed is empty?
I don't have a dually, but I run 80 psi in all four corners, all the time. Tire tread is even across the whole width of the tire so far with 25,000 miles.
I run 65 on all 4 corners. Not too much to be too rough, but if I put a load in the bed I don't want to worry if the tires are under inflated or unsafe. I'll sacrifice a little tire wear for that.
I lowered my front and rears to the recommended light load hoping to get an improved ride and it did nothing - still rough on the SoCal freeways. Back to 70 all around for me.
i run 62. 5 on the drivers side and 60 on the passenger side, to account for my weight when I sit in the truck. If i have a passenger, i add 2. 5 pounds to the passenger side, just for that trip. :--)
