I recently purchased all new Goodyear tires for my Dodge and also for my Excel 30-foot fifth wheel trailer. I am getting conflicting information from the tire manufacturer and Dodge and Excel dealers regarding the best rotation pattern for the tires. The Dodge tires are 265 75R 16 and the trailer's are 235 85R 16, both are load range E. Some say that a front-to-rear/rear-to-front rotation is good, and others say that a criss-cross rotation is better. I just want to get the most wear out of the tires. Any advice? (Needless to say, I'm not looking to swap tires on the two vehicles. )

As a Dodge and Excel owner, the rotation should be front to back on the truck and your rig. This is based upon what the

Dodge shop manual states and what my Excel dealer and the factory rep recommend.

Our Dodge owner's manuals show a recommended rotation pattern IIRC. The one I like to use when doing it myself is front to back on both truck and trailer but cross the truck fronts from right to left and left to right when moving them to the rear axle. This pattern will exchange right front to left front and vice versa during the next rotation spreading wear around equally between front tires. This can be useful if, for example, you always make a hard right turn into the same parking space at work or when entering your home driveway.
