when rotating the tires do you just go from front to back or do you cross rotate? Some do it one way and others do it another.

Personally, I just go front to back on the same side, and work the spare in as appropriate, also keeping it on the same side. Mine are Michelins, and I know guys swear later steel radials can be safely rotated to the opposite side, but I still prefer not to...

I cross rotate ever 5k miles, just the 4 as the spare is on a plain wheel. I have done it this way for the last couple trucks, never a problem always even tire wear.

Rotating

I have a Goodyear tire store do mine, $2. 00 a wheel, I can't do it that cheap myself counting the small bit of time involved. If you have Goodyear tires, which I don't the service is free, or if you bought tires from the store, service is free. Rotate front to back an tq em down every 5K. Seem to be wearing pretty good with 25K on them :D

I've got 26,400 on my Michelins, been rotating every 5,000 miles. I move the backs to the front and cross the fronts going to the back. Helps to clean up any feathering on the shoulders. This is the Recommended way to rotate per Michelin on 4x4's... Scott

*inside left rear to right front.
