Hey all- still fixing up my new-to me 1996 2500 4x4...

when i got new tires, i went from 245's to 265's... . can i still put up a 245 spare? or will I fry a differential if i run one?

also- anyone have any experience ( good or bad ) with a century E-wedge cap?

finally - when bought, my truck had a homemade monkey-job PVC and duct tape air filter "upgrade" with a K&M cone on the end... . I got the stock box with the truck. .

when i took the air to turbo hose off to get at the oil filter, i noted a layer of dust on the collar right before the turbo... . so i think its sucking dirt... . whatever i replace it with im more interested in efficiency than raw power upgrade..... should i put the stock box back in? air raid? any specific reccomendations/experiences good or bad? thanks!

Jim

PS heres what im fixing up... .

An Amsoil nanofber (cleanable) in the stock box ($48) or a stock filter ($13 to $28) depends on where you but em! A BHAF also filters quite nicely at about $50 ;)

The AMSOIL eaau4510 is a real good option. Just like the drop in it is cleanable. Bigger and you will hear your turbo scream. -Jason
