I have a '94 c/t with 175 hp injectors, tst throttle plate and a Schwitzer turbo 285hp, with 300k miles 3500 regular cab, I have p215s and I'm thinking of going to p225s because of availability as I travel, I am pulling a 2005 HR Presidential 5er 36 ft Quad slide GVWR 16,500, hitch weight is over 2100 lbs will these work or stay with the 215s? The truck pulles it fine with the large gear ratio (no 4:10s) and auto transmission, new one at 221K from dodge. This is my first dodge c/t and have learned a little on performance.

I just need a little guidence on when I replace the tires soon will these work?

Thanks rhitch54

Personally, Id go with 235-85-16's. they usually have a higher rating, and are more common. they are the stock size on the 00,01,02 duallys. 225's shouldnt be a prob either. I believe some are running 255-85's, but not sure if they have spacers or not.

Thanks pwerwagn I know my dad's D/C is a '99 24v 2500 and his tires are 235's I'll probably loose a little power going to a bigger size ??? But I can change the tst plate and boost it some more, to make up the difference if I need to, and put in a set of 330hp marine injectors that I have here new in the box. That new turbo does great at the speed that I need to pull my 5er. Of course this truck was my dads hand me down so I knew the background. Randy

Yeah, go 235/85. The 225/75 is a lower profile and is actually shorter than what you have. I've put 235's on different duallies, you've got to be very careful with the rears. As long as you have space in between the sidewalls you'll be fine. If they rub, like when you're loaded heavy and they bulge, they don't live long at all!
