I'm looking for some winter snow chains that can be installed without requiring a near death experience! I'm 75 and live in winter snow country and after seeing how easy my son put some chains on his car I became very envious. Is there easy to install chains that I can put on my 2001 CTD Ram 2500 that can be driven through snow without coming off and/or beating up the side of my truck! I'm really hoping someone out there can help me cause it is really difficult trying to put on chains by yourself while parked along the side of the road. With all the new "gadgets" out there I'm hoping some one can help me before the snow starts falling!

I saw the autosock on the local news by an investigative reporter a few years ago. They looked pretty slick. But the implication was that if you used them more than a couple of times you needed to get a new set. But if you dont use chains very often, and find it difficult to put them on in the freezing snow, they could be a winner.

I googled and got some sources. I found one that seemed to fit! I ordered a set and hope it works as advertised.
