Priceless.

In trouble again, need a jeep A/C pump

Any of the Washington guys (or Canucks): Do you know of a tire shop that can do tire truing on regular passenger car tires? I have a set of Michelins on my mini-van that shake pretty good at about 95K (that's kilometers). They've been balanced using the finger-adapters, but they're still not right. The wheels are alloy, so they should be relatively true; must be the tires. Thanks!

I don't know your situation but I always heard that Michelins were the most round tire made. Never had to have any of them trued. Had Coopers and Goodyears that I got trued before. But anything is possible. Goodluck.

I good quality shop should be able to help you out. I always get more replacement tires trued on both the car and the truck. The run better and last longer. If a shop tells some BS about voiding warrenty find a different place to do business.

I don't really like Michellins for the car. They use harder compound rubber so that they can use less of it. It makes their tires squeal a lot more. My 2 cents worth...

www.ricksontruck.com has a good writeup both on their web site and in their catalog about this and other things that make for a good installation.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I still haven't found anyone in the great Northwest that does this, and it's just not practical to send wheels and tires across the country to have this done. Somebody must do this!

Granted, I was not suggesting sending your current wheels to Rickson. I have a place on the west cost but it is in the SF bay Area. That probably would not be too helpful either.

The Rickson pointer was just to be an education tool to show you what was good and available.

You might want to check truck tire places over car places. This is only a suggestion. I lived away from the bay are a while ago and it took me a number of tries before finding shop of the caliber that I needed. I finally did and it was a local 18 wheeler shop. They were a little surprized that I actually wanted them to do the work. They had a kid in there who has may all of 18 or 19 that was just execellant.
