Just replaced my Michelins at 99,000 and at 104,000 I see "choppy" looking wear on the fronts. It's not real bad but noticable. I replaced the front shocks at 97,000 w/ bilstiens and repaired the track bar @ 85,000 w/ lukes link. Other than that the front end is original. Would appreciate if anyone out there knows what direction to go next. Thanks in advance

Jack up the front wheels one at a time with the jack under the axle housing. Use a pry bar under the tire and raise up and down and see if you can see any slack in the pivot bearings/ball joints. Toe in may be out of spec but is usually caused by wear somewhere in steering/suspension. bg

They did a poor job of balancing your new tires. I had the same thing happen on two new michelins on the front of my truck. Went back and had them rotated left to right and rebalanced. Smoothed out the choppy looking wear in under 1K miles and now they are wearing even, with 3K miles on this last balance.

Out of balance makes sense. . the old tires were wearing properly and its only been a few thousand miles. Would the rears not show out of balance as much as the fronts or did they just get lucky and get both F-ups on the front? Also the shop (Costco) didn't tighten down the valve core so I had a flat the next morning and when I checked the tire pressure, one tire had 120PSI. So being out of balance should be a no brainer. All this is PAR for the course. I can understand mistakes people make but inflation pressure ..... at a tire shop??? Is nothing sacred.

My rears are wearing even, but mine is a dually and a daily driver so even with a bad balance job they have 4 tires and no weight on them in the rear :). I would not go back to Costco if they did that to your truck.
