I have the 285's on my truck. I have been pretty happy with them. I have been running Remingtons on all of my Jeeps and trucks since 1980. I have had only one fail on me. And that was after putting a cactus quill thru the side wall in Baja. I put a plug in it to get home. About 6 months later it let go.
I've heard very good comments regarding the Cooper tires!
I presently have the stock 245's and was thinking of going up one size to the 265's. Is there any benefit to a larger tire such as improved fuel economy, ect. . ?
I just bought 4 BFG KO's a few days ago. Much smoother ride than the Michelins that came on it. Drive out price was $685. 00 after installation. I had to drive in some heavy rain today and no tracking, and it didnt try to hydroplane any at all, even through some large puddles.
Had the Dunlop AT's (285) for a while now. They grip better in the rain and snow then the original Michelin AT's did, BUT, they are wearing much faster. I'm thinking of going back to the Michelin's, just a better model next time.
