Well I am going to do it... will be ordering my MKW 19. 5's next month and am looking at tires to go on them. I live in the PAC NW... yes it rains here and I have had good experience with an All Season type tire on most of my vehicles. The CTD 2004 had factory GY SRA (17") which worked but had low mileage... sencond set was TOYO AT (17") all around (not 4x4) they worked well and allowed good rotation practices but still low mileage, so off to the world of 19. 5's I go. I like the idea of 6 alloy wheels that can be rotated to all positions... BUT NOW what tire? It is not a 4x.

I have looked at Bridgestone and Mich and GY open to all suggestions... would really like comments on the pros and cons of the tire you have? Pls don't let this become a thread about 19. 5's wheels... it is TIRES. THX All for your information and comments! Capt PJ

I put 225 /70 / 19. 5" I think on all my trucks... . The reason I'm saying I think is that I know they are 225 and 19. 5" but am not sure of the aspect ratio. . its the same tire that was on our F550 and our 08 5500... .

I mounted the Bridgestone rib tire... I'm very pleased... on our 05 that truck has close to 20K miles since the change and the other trucks have fewer miles on them...

I stayed with the 225 because of the ability to buy them on the road the excellent mileage we've gotten on them on the F550... close to 100K on the steer axle and 90K miles on recaps on the drivers. .

We've had 3 blowouts on the stock 17" rubber and wanted the extra safety factor and lower cost per mile...

I personally wouldn't go bigger than 225, they are a little taller than the stock tire and fix the error in the speedometer... .

The offset and rim width was right for the 225's... I found a vendor in Europe to make them for us. . they are steel wheels...

With the change in steel prices, and the drop in the dollar we won't bring more of them into the country I'm guessing until our next container of clutch casting... later this year... .

The tire we chose works very well in the rain... and so/so in the snow... the other trucks with the recaps on the rear are the same recap that UPS runs as an all season tire... and they are exceptional tires... . and for us around $125 each...
