tires for 05 3/4

I think stock size is a 265/70/17 BFG, which is darn close to a 33x12. 5, right?



Anyway, looking at the Cooper Discover S/T

It is a flash site, you will probably have to navigate. They do nto list the load range, but show 3195 lbs per tire. Is that D or E?

Cooper ST have the following:

33x12. 5x17LT is load range D rated for 2600lbs
35x12. 5x17LT is load range D rated for 3000lbs
LT265x70x17 is load range E rated at 3195 lbs

Directly under the little specifications box is a link saying "View Full Specifications". Click that for a full listing of the tire specs...

Coincidentally I just went through replacing my factory BFG's and I ended up with a set of Cooper ST's in the LT265/70/R17 size. They seem to be a good tire thus far although I've only got a few hundred miles on them...

Cooper also has a 285/70-17. It is the same OD, (read height) as the 33-12. 50-17 but has a 3195# rating on a D tire. I have had a couple dealers try to talk me into the 33-12. 50 saying it's the same tire but it does not have the same rating. Just a FYI .
