Warranty Advice?

Should I buy a used 2007+ 3500?

Looking to get some new tires for my 2009 Ram 2500. I’ve gotten 41,000 miles out of the original stock tires and looking to get the same, if not better, out of the tires I purchase. Any recommendations? I’m looking for an aggressive all-terrain tire, but don’t want the BFGs that everyone has on their trucks these days. Any idea on the largest tire size I can fit under my front fenders without rubbing?

Also, I was thinking about buying a leveling lift kit for the front suspension to accommodate a larger tire size. Any suggestions on which kit to purchase? I’ve been thinking about a Maxx Suspension Level Kit, but have been unable to find one for a 2009.

Thank you for your input.

I like my 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor Pro Grades. They have about 20,000 KMs on them and they are wearing well.

RHodgdon,

I replaced my BFG AT's with Hankook DynaPro ATMs on 07 Power Wagon rims. Got 45K out of the BFGs and they hooked up in mud and snow when new, but had terrible road wander. I am very pleased with the Hankooks. Track straight, smooth ride and quiet. 3750# load rating in LT285/70/17E. Just pulled towed my 22 ft boat with bed loaded from San Diego to Colorado Springs and in some pretty heavy rain the tires stuck and felt safe. Can't speak to mileage as I only have about 5k on them.

Pictures of them mounted on my 99 with a 2 inch lift kit in 2nd Gen photo gallery.
