Well I think i'm going to get a set of mud-terrain tires mounted on another set of rims to run when I go mudding. I was wondering what the best tire is. I'm going to go with B F Goodrich or Dunlop. How do these tires do in the mud? Which are Cheaper? Which last the longest? What is the best size. My truck is a 1992 Dodge W250 at stock height. I would also like to use 16X10 rims so the tires will be wide. What are your guys opinions? Thanks in advance!

My recommendation is to go with a 16. 5" tire and wheel. The cost will be significantly less than an equal tire size with 16" wheels. I think you'd have to stick with 33's because with stock ride height I believe the 35's will be a bit much.

The Dunlops will be less expensive than the BFG's. For example the 33x12. 5x16. 5 Dunlop's (at eTires.com where the price includes shipping) are $137, the BFG's are $150.

As far as width, the wider tires will help you float better (float maybe isn't the best word for a 7000lb four wheeler) so if you are going through deeper mud holes, wider is better. If you are playing around on a muddy surface (~6"of mud) then narrower is the way to go because they will dig better.
If narrower is the choice for you in your driving conditions then BFG makes a 255/85/16 that will fit the bill well. Of course then you are back to more expensive 16" wheels/tires.
