I'm interested in the titan tank for my 2019 MC dually. I understand my DTE wont work and am guessing its because the ECU doesn't recognize the tank size. Was wondering if anyone has calculated how far off it is, if it even works, and could lengthening the fuel level pickup help at all due to the increased tank depth. This last trip from Orange county to Pismo got interesting. Big headwinds ran me out of fuel at Santa Maria. Sure would be nice to at least make Pismo.
my thoughts are lenghtening the level pickup I'm sure won't register the upper gals in the tank but possibly when it drops to the level of the OEM tank it will be close. Maybe I'm all wet on this one...let me know.

From Titan web site which also seems to align with other threads I have seen:
With use of the stock sending unit, the trucks analog fuel gauge will read correct and accurate with the TITAN tank.

Years ago(1998) I bought a tank from Transfer flow tanks. The original tank float worked after it got below the stock tank fuel level. Thus, I had 20 gals before the gauge would start to register the level etc. Maybe has changed now,.

The gauge reads accurate, for the most part, but DTE is no longer accurate but it was never very accurate to begin with.

When I am on E I have 6-7 gallons left, 1/2 a tank is 1/2 a tank (25 gallons), but it takes 10 gallons of fuel being burned to come off of full.

I haven't regretted the mod yet, in fact I enjoy it more and more each time I go on a longer drive.

I have Titan 52 tank in '19 2500 6.4 bed, when filled full the, burn down 20 gallons then the fuel gage will operate normal.

I could be wrong, but the error gives you MORE range than you actually have. I have DTE on my 14 Jeep, 17 Ram 5500, and 19 Ram 1500. but dont pay anymore attention to it than I do MPG lie meter. 1/4 tank fill up time for me.

Cheers, Ron
