TJM Bumpers..

Okay I was looking at options for front bumpers and stumbled on TJM Bumpers. I did a little search on the TDR and found this by a member who had one and got in a wreck. Then I looked in the readers rigs and found these photos.

I think it is quite impressive how well the bumper protected the driver. I know the truck is quite damaged, but the guy driving is still around to talk about it. So now I am looking for anyone else that has one to tell me how they like it. I found this site and emailed them. They say they have em and go ahead and order them. I just might do that... depends on the shipping to AK.

I am also looking at UTE and Ali Arc, DOR is out because I don't think it extends down far enough.

That is my truck. That bumper kept my frame from getting damaged in the accident. The officers and medics were suprised how well the bumper held up. The Sub. was totaled. The pictures don't show it too well, but I hit the engine which broke the motor mount. The frame on the Sub. was broken off at the upper "A" arms. That very same bumper survived a couple of deer, rock slide, and a couch that fell out of a truck in front of me. The construction of that bumper is amazing, very high quaility.

I bought that bumper in Anchorage back in 98 at American Four Wheel drive. I believe they had move to Wasilla or Palmer. Shipping was free, I just asked how much was shipping and they said they would check and call me. A couple of weeks later they called and said my bumper was in no shipping charge. These bumpers come from Australia and most go through Anchorage before going to the outside anyway. For the price you can't beat them.

PS. There is one thing you need to be aware of. I just got a replacement, same one as I had before, and it was a little different. The new one has amber lights just under the head lights. Just be sure to ask which one they have and it is what you want. I will post pictures later this week.

Thanks for the info, I never even thought to ask around Anchorage for one. Please post the pics. Right now its a toss up between a UTE, TJM or Ali Arc. My Dad also has a welder buddy that is interested in looking at what ever pics and have and making one for me. He builds Boats for a living but want to do a bumper.
