A few days ago I asked for comments regarding adding an Aeroturbine to a Banks Monster Exhaust. Nobody really addressed my question. And no one answered that had used the Aeroturbine/Monster Exhaust combination. Could it be possible that no one has used this combination? In which case, that would answer my question. The question basically is: What, if anything, do I gain by adding an aeroturbine to a Banks Monster Exhaust System on my 99? By gain, I don't mean a "cool" sound. I'm looking for lower egt's more MPG's and promoting engine life.

Mr. Amsoil,

I added the Aero to my Hoog exhaust system last spring. I cut it in 18" in front of the system muffler, my main objective was to lessen the drone I had at 2000-2100. If did help with that, but it also gave the truck a lighter but rushing exhaust note, I like it, it sounds different.

I would imagine all your going to get is a change in exhaust note. The aeroturbine does not speed up exhaust gasses as claimed by the manufacturer, it is just a novel way of freeflow noise suppression. There was a thread sometime ago about these mufflers, do a search for aerotrubine, you should find it, alot of interesting info.
