diesel foam

steering issue

I bought my truck about 8 months ago. It had 212k on ther odo when i bought it. Since i have logged another 10k on it. I hjave changed the transfer case oil, engine, transmission, fuel filter etc. , the normal stuff. I would like to start adding more power but first i want to see what kind of condition the engine is in. Besides a compression check what other things can i do to determine the condition of the engine? Thanks

How about a sig so we know what you've got... Auto? stick? 12V? 24V? Is it consuming oil? Smoke... Blue? Black? Any?

Leakdown test is the best way to check cylinders. Requires a leakdown gauge, fitting for the head and a air compressor. It will basically tell you how much air is bypassing the rings and by sound if any is leaking past the exhaust and/or intake valves or head gasket (Bubbles in the radiator). If you really want to know a leakdown is the only way to go.
