ok, i took them to one of the local diesel shops, and the checked them free of charge... they were within tolerances, and if i wanted them exact, id have to have waited till tomorrow. since im impatient, i slapped them in and let it rip.
after 2 dry tanks, and a bad VP44, ive become pretty good at bleeding the lines; fired right up, loped for a while, then smoothed out.
took it for a spin around the block... and HOLY !#$%$%^%$!!!
now i understand why its necessary for everyone to make their own thread going on about the difference in stock injector VS. aftermarket. i went with the DD jammer 4 which is a 125hp stick. it was as amazing of a power difference as when i first put the smarty on the truck.
by the time i got home the truck was still loping just a tad, i assume its from the injectors not having been set to equal pressures. not bad though, maybe something ill tackle at a later date...
until then, im gunna go blow some smoke. . these sticks bring a whole to meaning to smokey diesel
