I found my lower radiator hose had a pinhole in it a few weeks ago, spraying a goodly stream on the ground. I also noticed a leak from the right front corner of the head/block area, indicating either a head gasket or t-stat housing leak (both are original, as far as I know). After replacing the lower hose, and cleaning the whole area off real well, I saw a little trickle later, but was still undecided as to which it was. I washed it off a week and a half ago- about the time I found a . 020 over thick head gasket in the classifieds here (still in shrinkwrap). Now the leak has stopped. Nothing has come out in a week and a half. No white marks where coolant had dried, no wetness, nothing. I'm tempted to replace it, cause it will surely start up again, but if it's still good, why mess with it?

ARRRGGHHH! Stuff like this just drives me the short trip to nuts.

You should install that headgasket on my truck. It needs it. I have been driving it for a year with a leaky headgasket.

I'm off work for the next 3 weeks. I need to make it to Cape for you to take a look at my truck.
