i bought a 00' 2500 sport about a month ago and its my first dodge, i dont like the sport writing on the hood or the blue cummins 2500 sticker on the door, i am thinking about taking them off and putting the usual blk/red cummins decal on the door. not being familiar with the dodges yet i was wondering if there is anything that is differant on a sport that would stand out to a dodge man and make me look like a moron for doing this? (like the people that put Z71 stickers on 3/4 tons chevys, thats a package for 1/2 tons only)

please let me:confused:

Do what pleases you, screw the opinion of others. My '02 sport didn't come with the "sport" logos on it anywhere but the "b" pillars. If you want to remove the sport emblems, DO IT! The color matched bumpers, grille and front air dam are unique to the sports and identify your truck as such but as stated, later trucks had all these and no decals.

I think that only the 2000 had the big decals for the engine- the sport decals were on a number of years. I took the Dodge and 4x4 decals off the second day I had the truck. If it had the Sport decal or the big engine decal they would have fallen off at the same time.

To each his own I took all my stickers off. My 01 Sport truck came with the factory chrome (RAM 2500) on the doors and under that it says in red (Cummins 24 valve) and under that it says in the same red lettering (Blue Chip Diesel Performance) This is a good conversation piece. I get lots of looks and highway rubbernecking especially after blowing by someone at 110 mph and then letting off to 65 mph . I know that guy is saying to himself “how he do that”. “that’s a diesel”. By the way I bought the truck at “GREAT ROAD DODGE” I took off some letters it now says “EAT ROAD”

on my '02 i yanked everything off. I did like the black sport signs on the pillars. But the cheesy dodge decal on the tailgate and the 4x4 thing, yeah right like you can't tell its a dodge and need help figuring it out. They peel off real easy. I haven't pulled the cummins decals off the side yet, though i think i will. I've seen some pretty awful looking dodge paint jobs... from that terribly ugly two-tone thing they do, to that god awful sport thing with it all over the hood. To each his own though, its your truck do with it as you please. I don't think dodge does anything like chevy with the Z71 thing. Well if you put 1500 or 3500 badging on it you'd look kind of silly.
