Questions about the Walker Airsep

oil pump part #

i recently took the cold pipe off.  much to my dismay, there was a bit of oil sitting in the top turbo (hybrid h1c) housing and coating much of the piping. nothing TOO alarming, although this isn't a ford so i was pretty surprised. called paul at htt (who i got the bottom turbo from, bht3e), he said the only two ways for oil to come out the turbo was either the bearings let go (which they haven't), OR there is a drain restriction. and here's the scary part, from too much blow-by.

now here's my question. i've seen a few pics and read only a few comments about folks adding ventilation because of this. will this fix my problem? this engine has somewhere around 400k on it too. i'm only running 50 psi, maaaaaybe 52 if the air is right, because that's all the fuel i have and with no studs or o rings, it's ok by me. i do have a . 020+ hg though. anyway, if anybody has some thoughts on this one, i'd love to hear. thanks in advance.

i accept the fact that i could be wrong, but i was thinking i had a good drain. here's a pic. do you guys think it's enough? re-fitted stock drainpipe with 1" hose. same thing on the bottom turbo.

Dave, did you try the simple test? Take off the oil filler cap and see if you have mist, smoke or feel any pressure coming out.

i haven't. i will do that in the a. m. i do have a steady flow out the overflow tube, so i know that's not blocked. i've been driving reasonably for the last few days and keeping an eye on stuff and haven't found any leaks, so i'm thinking it's only going to be an "under boost" thing. i was thinking that some of those little vw air filters in the valve covers might help the situation. am i way off on that? thanks guys.
