Does someone have the manual with the alignment specs?

I've got about 700 miles on my rebuilt engine and haven't turned the pump up any yet.

My original train of thought was to let the engine get worn in a little closer to 5,000 miles before I started trying to turn things up. The truck runs great on the interstate and I think that I could pull a house down, but I drove my cousins 2nd Gen. and it runs better than my truck. He giggled to himself when he drove my truck and asked why his was so much faster... .

So finally getting to the point, what's everyone's opinion on turning up the pump on an engine with less than 1,000 miles on it? :D I'm not convinced I shouldn't wait. anyone care to change my mind?

I'd give it a little more time to break in. I'm at 210k and I'm still breaking mine in! :D

Have patience, grasshopper!

And might I say, that is one SWEET ride you got there! Oo.

I think I would wait for a few more thousand miles. Give everything a chance to settle in. Maybe after the first oil change.

Is everything new or just the block? What I'm thinking about is the injector pump.

Oh, and be carefull with that blocked wastegate... you're gonna wanna unblock that at some point so you don't grenade your turbo.

The wastegated housing was on the engine when I got it, thought I would run it awhile then change to a 16 cm. The injector pump was only freshened. The rods were reworked, new pistons old block bored and honed. I guess I'll wait..... :) It's going to drive me nuts though!! :D

The 16 is the best overall housing for our trucks IMO. Pretty soon I'm gonna have to get a wastegated 16... I'm already at 30psi, and 40psi is pushing it for the compressor.
