I use an electric toaster, but knew a guy on a construction site who was pretty good with bread and a cutting torch!!!!! :-laf

if it's oxy/propane sure i'd do that [open flame on bread]... if it was oxy/acy i wound't... makes the bread taste funny... you need to put it [the bread] on a piece of steel and heat the steel from under it to make it act like a griddle to get a good tasting toast with the oxy/acy...
