I won't be keeping My ED, I been waiting over two years for the Decision, The Truck and Trans are awesome the motor VM3.0 is problematic. When the 2020 Diesel version 1500 is known My ED is going back to FCA... If they Keep the current 3.0 I will get a New 2500 With Gas and Buy the GM 1500 Diesel... I'm done importing Europe's Poor QC and development.. The only exception to this is FPT Diesel.

I love my truck but I was hoping for a buyback. I get bogus EVIC warnings that don’t log for the dealer to track. Then my garage door opener doesn’t work at times and then need reprogramming. I take pictures of the crap but the dealer could care less. If a buyout came I’d then take my add ons off and put it on a gas ram similar to my Ecodiesel. My other idea is buy a much older 5.9. I loved my 98 12 valve and my 2007 3500 MegaCab. I knew the drivetrain well. My 2007 had quality control issues with injectors but the mileage was similar to my Ecodiesel.

Their nothing in the settle take stop you from Demanding FCA to take it back, in some instances its going to be less cost for them to give handsome take in values.

There is no logical reason for FCA to buy back. There was no fraud involved and the software update will make the 14-16 the same as the 2018 version.

Yep.. and every Owner that I know that owns a 2017-18 Mileage AVR is down 1-3GPM of 2014-16, Its also logical that AEM is not magical , I evidence it was know in 2013 so FCA tried to pass on emissions for mileage, and that loss of mileage is goona find its way into every EGR/Plenum that AEM is loaded to operate.

Since AEM upgrade, my mileage is bad and I’m getting regenerations on almost every tank. My mpg today is 19.5 mpg. Half highway and half city driving. It use to be around 22-23 no matter where I went. The best ever from service station to station is 25.6 mpg since new. Heck, my 2007 Megacab 3500 would match this! I just got my offer of $3075 today since May 24th application for it. Got it notarized and emailed back.

I have to say, since I had the update done in June, I haven't noticed any significant drop in MPG, and I do monitor it very closely. What I have noticed is that I used to get C.E.L. with a P050E Code: (Low Exhaust Temp on Cold Start) at regular intervals, but I haven't seen that since the recall.

Your Megacab got 25.6 mpg on the highway? Why did you sell it?

I miss my Mega Cab and it’s great mileage! I bought the Ecodiesel because my friend bought one and I loved it’s features.
I just traded my 2015 Ecodiesel this week for a low mileage 2019 Ram 1500 Classic truck with a V6! I don’t want the EGR crap with a poor dealership to fix it. So far my mileage is better than the Ecodiesel! Less than 4K for the trade! I’ll be leaving TDR after this subscription after more than twenty years.

I wish Ram diesel owners had a means of retribution against the federal government. Has anyone ever tried a class action suit against the EPA?

Did you read the bottom of the letter. Affected consumers get about $3K. How much are the lawyers getting? And you think a class action suit is good?
Bill Shakespeare was right.

You are missing the entire point of my comment. Customers paid for a truck that gives excellent fuel economy and performs as advertised. Because of the EPA, the customer's trucks are being reprogrammed and lose valuable fuel economy AND become a dog to drive. Chrysler didn't do this, the EPA mandated it. Remember this, Chrysler still denies any wrongdoing. The point of my comment is to somehow make the EPA responsible for their dumb$h1t decisions that affect peoples products in a seriously negative manner. Nothing like having your truck messed up by the Feds and then they think a 3k dollar check is going to somehow make you feel better about it. Would you be happy with that outcome jhenderson? I darned sure wouldn't.

And a class action is the answer? What did the class action do for the affected owners? You’re better off doing your own dirty work than lining a shysters pockets and getting less than you deserve. That’s my point!

I'm not a lawyer or a lawyer wannabe. Thankfully I've managed to stay out of our courts and legal system my entire life. If a large group of affected americans suing the EPA isn't the way to solve it, what is?

I’ll ask you one time. Did you even look at the lawyers fees vs the affected party’s compensation?

Absolutely and it's absurd. The really bad part is that they say FCA will be paying for that separately................in other words, people that buy Chrysler products will be paying for it. I stand by my earlier comment that the american public should begin a financial assault on the EPA through the court system but obviously lawyers don't work for free, win OR lose. Either way, we are paying for it. Either by taxation that pays for the EPA or by paying lawyers to fight our own money in court.
