Open Letter to Dogs and Cats

I had heard about this and thought I would try it out. we have a young kitten and her liter box is in the spare bathroom righ next to the toilet. that was the first step. I bought this plastic pan that fits over the toilet seat and you put a little liter in it and gradually fade out to no liter and the pan bottom comes out in steps to reveal a clear window to get them used to the water below them.

The very first night I put it out the kitty did her business on the toilet. Its been about a week now and I'm now slowly using less and less liter and in about a week or so will take the entire thing out and see if she continues to use the toilet.

if this works, it will be too cool. no more cat liter or stinky liter boxes.

anyone else done or tried this?

Aww that's so cute!

Me and my roommate have 4 cats between us. One of them is outside all the time and one is inside all the time. My roommate's cat goes in and out and so does Dilla, my long-haired, blue calico, but she's mostly an inside kitty. I've heard of toilet training many times. Cats want to stay clean so it works out pretty well.

If I could just teach our 3 to stay off the car and truck, I'd be happy. I about hurt my hand swatting one off today. If they didn't have a purpose and that of killing off the mice and keeping birds out of the barn, they'd be GONE!

TPCDrafting, find an old toilet and stick in the barn. Maybe the cats will stay off the vehilces once they realize there's a toilet to sit on.

OH, They don't drop trow on the car, they just think it's a good place to hang out. Get paw prints, hair whatever. We had our 74 bug restored and painted this summer and they thought it was cool to slide down it's smooth edges. Scratched it up pretty good. Fresh paint- it didn't have any wax on it yet. I'm having the guy buff it out for me and fix the problems, but I just can't understand why they like to be on the vehicles so much. It's not cuz they're warm, cuz they do it when they're cold too. I thought of coming up with a way to elictrify it , but I know I'm too busy minded and would zap myself every time!:D

We had a cat that did it without training. Scared the bejezus out of me one morning when I flipped the light on to do my morning routine and there was a cat sitting on the seat just doing his business. Very freaking at 3:00 am.

Everytime we visited the inlaws in GA, there neighbors cat would jump on the hood at night.

Can't remember where I heard it, but I leaned a rake (or shoval) on the front of the truck , and the cat stayed off the thing!

Works on Cars also.

I think the only thing that would have made it worse would be if the cat was sittin there reading the paper while he did his business. :D
