Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Tone Wheel inspection

can I get some tips on the best way to check if my Tone Wheel is cracked/loose/damaged?



Piers said I could pull the Cam Position Sensor & look in the hole, but I hear pulling the CMP is a PITA. Is this the only way?



I had the Cam Sensor replaced at the shop & the old one came out with physical damage on the end.

To look through the sensor hole, you will have to find a shop that has a bore scope. I am not sure if there is another way to get a look at it.
