HAS ANYONE PURCHASED THE LITERIDER ROLL-UP TONNEAU

COVER BY AGRI-COVER INC. ? APPEARS TO BE SIMPLE TO INSTALL

AND USE. JUST WONDERING HOW THEY MIGHT HOLD UP, AND IF

THEY ARE WORTH THE EXTRA PRICE. $ 369. 00 FROM GENO'S

GARAGE APPEARS TO BE THE BEST PRICE.

THANKS,

DAN

I had the access cover which I think is a heavier duty cover. It worked very well but was on my old truck which I sold and also went to a long bed now. I am considering ordering thru www.truckextras.com since they have several models to choose from. It is a very good product.

I have one and I like it. I remove and install it quite often and it is quick. I am going to drill holes and install threaded inserts in the inside rail to make it even quicker. Fairly water tight also.

Dborders,

Welcome aboard... ... .

My personal observation of the Lite-Rider cover is that it is a well made product. I personally have the Truxedo cover... ... . same function but looks a little different. If you have the time I suggest that you look at both before buying and decide for yourself... ... Both are top shelf products don't get me wrong.

I installed the cover yesterday. Yes, it is easy to install. All you do is clamp the tonneau rails to the bed rail, bolt a set of brackets to the tonneau cross piece and then bolt the cross piece to the rail.

Too early to tell how it will last, but it looks durable to me.

Good luck,

Pat

Geno's Cover

Have one installed on Moms Ram for over a year. Held up very well including a Buffalo winter. Easy to install and adjust to keep tight. It was well worth the few extra bucks.

Just wanted to say that I have had an Access Cover on for about 3 months now and love it! It works great and have had no water leaks yet.

I found a local shop that sold the Access for only $390. The Lite-Rider was around $350.

Have you considered a solid fiberglass cover? I looked at a number of covers and finally decided on a hard cover. Simple and good looking imo.

Had one on my truck for three years until the 5er fell on it, it even survived the crash but the insurance company bought me a new one anyhow, the cover works great both summer and winter.

The old cover is standing in the corner of my garage.

Tonneau cover

I've opted for the Pace Edwards roll-up cover... This is the one that rolls up into its own box... Its made of heavy vinyl with aluminum rails for strong support. I like it because you can lock it, handles snow load without sag, and fits flush with the top of the bed... . They also make one with a electric motor and cargo lite. . A little pricey, ,however, but well made. .

I've had tonneau covers, regular caps and now the Leer TSC 600 Hard Tonneau cover.

I live in Rochester, NY, and decided after a couple of winters to do away with the idea of a soft cover. Snow load is one, but the bigger issue was security. You can never feel safe carrying anything valuable under a soft cover.

I have had the Leer TSC600 for three years now on my duallie and love it. I'm 200 lbs and can stand on the top and it doesn't even flex. It's color matched exactly by Leer to your paint scheme, and I never worry about security.

Drawbacks? ( ... there's always some :( )

It hinges from the front, so if you want to get something at the front, you're on your knees.

The other is more obvious. I can't haul anything taller than the cover is tall.

Were I to do it over, I would get one of those systems I saw that fold up in sections when you want to haul something tall. Because of the TransferFlow 50 gallon tank against the bed front, I can't use anything that "rolls up", as it requires 9 - 12 inches of dead space. Might want to remember this if you have any plans on getting an auxilliary tank installed.

With the exception of hauling something tall, I love my Leer. :D

My cover is a fold up cover that is strong enuff for me to walk on. I weigh a little more than 200 (curses!) so it's pretty strong. It folds up to about the size of a tool box. You can haul anything as tall as you are brave enuff to haul. I've had it since the truck was new in '95. The water proof fabric in the joints isn't any more. When I get aroundtoit I'm going to go by an awning shop and get some replacement stuff. Hinges still just fine. Other than the leak it's been a good cover. Locks too.
