According to ESPN, there are 32 bowl games! That's 64 teams, many of whom have records that are . 500 or just above. For example, my alma mater, Nevada, is going to the New Mexico bowl. They are 6-6. In school, and most other places in life, 50% will get you an "F". I liked it better when there were 5 or 6 games. I hope like heck the NCAA moves to a playoff system. The BCS was a joke this year. The only unbeaten major team is Hawaii (#10) and they don't get to play for the championship. They should have the chance to go to the big game, just like Cinderella schools in basketball. GRRR! and I'm not even that big of a college ball fan.

Rant off!:-laf

The BCS is a joke. They need a playoff. The +1 wouldn't even be good enough at this point. The thing that really gets me is the hypocrisy in collge FB. These schools and programs are making tens of millions of dollars off kids who, if they take a free burger and fries from a booster, are busted.

I could care less about the amount of games. I just can't stand the fact that games are played past Jan 1. I don't care if the Natl. Championship game has to be held on it's own night. That's dumb. But hey, it's not about college football anymore, it's about the money.

And Hawaii, while fun to watch, is just where they should be. Not in the championship game. Colt Brennan is probably going to have an NFL career similar to David Carr. Hopefully not, but they look like the same QB, only a few years apart. Hawaii barely beat a very crappy Washington team and needed help from the zebrastripers to do it.
