I remember a 92 2WD Club Cab a few years ago that had an Eaton 10 speed in it. In order to have enough clearance for the big bellhousing he had to do a lift kit which made it look like a 4WD.

How did they get that to bolt up to the cummins... .

Just use the proper bellhousing. Instead of a "trans adapter" like we use on the Dodges it is a 4-5" wide bellhousing. There are several different versions depending on what trans is used and where the starter is located: hi- low, left- right

Cummins should have these available. We do repowers on school buses all the time and cummins and the junkyards have bellhousings that mate the 5. 9 up to a myriad of various auto and manual transmissions. Just a matter of fabbing up some mount brackets. The one thing I'd love to see though, is an eaton using the hydraulic master/slave from the g56. You could get really high rear/front gears and give yourself the equivalent of a multiple overdrive. :D

That's a neat truck! It would be easy to bolt the cummins to any medium or heavy duty transmission because they can be had in the SAE #2 housing, but the fitment in a truck would be a pain. I sure hope that 10 speed had OD, otherwise that would suck. :-laf
