Took all day!!

I bought another 12V about a month ago. I’ve had it in the shop since doing a variety of thing mostly changing gaskets and seals.
Yesterday I sanded and polished the original valve covers to a almost perfect finish. First time I’ve tried this.

Very nice!!! I wonder if you should apply a high temp clear coat to them to keep them shiny?

Well I just got my polishing kit off Amazon, first time ever trying to polish aluminum. I had a friend of mine mention the same thing to me this morning. If you know of a good product lmk.

Unfortunately I don’t. I just know your beautiful work will diminish over time.

I did a clear powedercoat on my snowflake LT1 aluminum intake for my Camaro as well as the aluminum castings for the Muncie M22 transmission.... works great and no oil sticks to it... but the coating did not tolerate ethanol fuel very well so I need to recoat the intake next time I am in the engine.
