I bought this truck in Jan 05 and its my first diesel. I've already put 36k miles on it and it still suprises me.

Went down to the dyno and did a run

I didn't expect to see a '4' in the HP column or a '7' in the torque column for rear wheel power on this truck. Getting it on the dyno was almost as much fun as getting the print out. . I had to take the dual wheels off and just run single wheels in the rear :-laf

Not too shaby for a box, dual exhaust, and a cheap napa filter

Are you kidding? Pretty sure these numbers are not correct, at least according to other trucks equipped like mine.

24 valves RULE :-laf

I've also run the SP Diesel boxes and they DO make those types of numbers. Look under "Fall Brawl" and find out how JAPOL wreaked his truck just after he Dyno'ed with the Eleminator Box from SP Diesel. The numbers will tell the story :)

Still waiting to go from Beta to Production box on their next generation of boxes.

i know first hand that the sp diesel boxes are good boxes, and would expect much better things to come from them in the near future!! :-laf

i was there but not until later. i think you will see better #s on a different dyno. there was a lot of people who dynoed today and were not happy with the #s they saw. something was up with the dyno. i was rushed for time or else i would have got a base line with my mods i have now but i will spin the rollers at the spring fling.

Why does the sheet not show the full dyno run? Looks the the numbers start at the peak and are falling throughout the run. I am assuming this was an auto truck and they are showing coming off of the 3rd-4th gear shift. I would like to see the whole run.

well if funds permit i would hope to put down some serious #s. but we will see. ;)

i was one of those persons who was not happy! i dynoed at the fall brawl at 471/1008, and i couldnt get the truck to do better than 417, and mid 900's on torque. i was really hopin to see 500hp, cause ive done a few mods. since the fall brawl, well have to see what kauffmans dyno says, cause the one i was on today was lying!

Yeah, same here !!!

Last year at the "Mopars at the Strip" I dynoed my 2005 Ram 3500 RWHP at 439 HP and 831 ft/lbs with just an AFE stage II intake and Edge Juice w/Attitude on level 5.

It was a Dyno Jet dyno, and I don't know the correction factor they used.

I want to see what it will do now that I added the 5" exhaust, "Hot" Juice update, and Banks intercooler/high ram setup.

Something was definitely wrong. I expected to be in the low 300's and high 600's for hp/tq.

Just searching around here, I found similar trucks hitting in the 3's for hp, and in the 7's for torque.

Let's get another dyno day going somewhere else.

we've already got another dyno day setup, that would be april 29th at kauffmans! they seem to have the best dyno, and dyno staff that ive ever found. the get the truck on the rollers, strap it down, get the 3 runs down, and off the rollers, in a little less than 15min. they know how to do that very efficiently.

dont worry, im haveing a few dyno days this year, the first is only a couple months away-about april or may!! it will be about $75 for 2 pulls and also we have test and tune session, this is done with a $50,000 dynomometer,(2,000HP) it will be done in chantilly, VA. those interested need to let me know, only 15-16 trucks a day can be done--it will probably be a 2 day event, there is several thing going on that weekend, yes there will be a BBQ, so make plans. thanks :-laf
