Tool box lid struts

Not really sure where else to put this so here goes.



I'm needing to find some new struts for the lid of my toolbox. The ones I have on it now that came from the factory are "phased lift" struts. Meaning the lid is supposed to pop up about halfway when the latch is released then slowly finish opening the rest if the way. I'd like to just find some struts that will make it pop open most or all of the way immediately. Can anyone suggest a strut or explain what I need to look for? I've attached a photo of the one that it has now.

I recently replaced my struts with some I found in a Cabela's web site. Lid really pops up. Cabela's: Cabela's CLUB.

When I needed to replace my struts on my Snap-on tool chest, I went to NAPA. Took one of the old struts with me for size, and "lift pounds". Got a better strut at a fraction of the cost for a Snap-on replacement. NAPA had a very good selection of struts. I would give them a try.

I googled the make and model number on my cap lift window.

Ebay was almost 1/2 what the cap dealer wanted.
