At the risk of cluttering up the TDR with "other" forums, would it be worth it to have a "Tools" forum where people could discuss tools (truck related or otherwise).

It's hard to find a place online with good reviews of tools. I figure the membership here must collectively have experience with every tool ever made.

I cant agree with you more ryan. heck I have a number of diffrent brands of tools that I use and have owned. This is the second set of tools I have now and still working on build up, since the first stet of tools I had were stolen.

I currently have:

Snap on (including my toolbox and tool cart)

Mac

Matco

OTC

Cornwell

Craftsman

GP

SK

Gearwrench

Durlast (Autozone)

IR

CP

and I'm sure Ive missed a few brands.

Hi my name is Andrew and I am a tool junkie.

Maybe ya Could do a poll and get an idea how many people might be on board?

I'm in.

I think this is a great idea too. There's lots of tools that I would like to know about and how they operate. I've never seen a Tools forum on a site like this - it would be something else that sets us apart.

A also have a serious tool jones, one example would be the brake lathe I got from snap on cost 7500 when I found the manufacture selling it with a bench for 4500 , do'nt start yet I know they have to make a profit [ but there spouse to get a volume and resale distcount] and they used to provide a good service, but then to be fair they have only had 2 scanners over the yrs. unlike otc . rant off for now.

Truck specific tools? Let's see I've got.....

KDP kit including fan wrenches

NV4500 nut socket

Custom bent end wrench for that PITA inside bolt on a P7100

Wooden dowells for holding up the tappets for cam removal

I'm thinking I forgot something... ... . ?
