OK, it's a perverse sort of question, and we KNOW that no one should drive irresponsibly - but with the somewhat higher RPM capabilities provided by the Smarty in some truck configurations, I wonder what that translates to as far as top speed? Some guys are reporting RPM topping out at 3500-4000 RPM - and if that RPM is available down the road in a top speed run, those Vettes and firebirds better watch out!

Well do the math. If 2000 RPM=70 MPH. Then 3000 RPM=105 MPH,

3500 RPM=122. 5 MPH. 4000 RPM=140 MPH. Let us know how that goes.

My old truck, a '01. 5 ETH with Mach 3. 8's, a Blue Chip APB & Smarty #9 would flatten out at around 3500 rpm. I sure never tried it in high gear though.

The Smarty does not increase the max RPM lilit on our engines. The only unit that provides additional RPM is the Blue Chip Redline Box.

I don't know about the Smarty but a couple of years ago, I posted my top seed against a Mercedes Kompressor up in Washington as recorded by my GPS. I was tached out at around 3300 rpm acording to my RoadRelay4 max rpm record at 131mph recorded by GPS with my Edge-Comp. My sig shows all the mods that were and are on my truck at that time with the exception of the Smarty which I did not have. I think tire size is what put me over the 125 mark. My speedo is electronically corrected and matches the GPS when moving.

If I had 4000 rpm springs and could just keep adding fuel, I think I could get higher by a good bit, but I am getting tool old and like moving a little slower now. ;)
