I am looking for a nice (not top of the line, but not the cheapo) topper to put on my 97, reg. cab, long bed, 4x4. It can't be above the cab or it won't fit in my garage! If anyone knows about a nice cab please let me know what you think about it!!

Thanks,
Peep

I have the SnugTop (Long Beach, California) Expo on my 2000 RAM 2500 and am quite satisfied with the fit and finish. It won't fit in my garage—but neither would the truck without the cap!!!

I had a good experience with the manufacturer that I'd like to pass on. When the cap was three months old I was 500 miles from home in Hurricane, Utah. I went out to my RAM from my motel room in the dark at 6 AM and discovered the rear window of the cap broken—75% of the glass neatly distributed on the pavement behind the truck and the rest inside the bed. Nothing inside the bed (tools, beer, etc. ) was disturbed. Was it an attempted truck theft (via the sliding rear window), a tool theft, or the 0ºF temperature??? SnugTop Replaced the entire rear window/door, a $350 job, sight unseen, for no charge. This was in spite of an exclusion for glass in the 1 year warranty.

I'm extremely pleased with my Glasstite Vision II "topper". This "topper" is taller than cab high and extremely well profiled and aerodynamic. The very large (frameless) window is deep tinted as are all the other side windows. The rear window is on tracks which allow it to be extended up and "back" (on top of the roof) for ease of loading very large items. As this is Glasstite's top of the line "topper", there are no (extra expense) options. The only option I can remember is whether you prefer the solid glass or slider (your choice). All in all, A very high quality "topper".
