So it "fits" our trucks OK?? I'm tired of using blankets and laying on the engine compartment. The one in the picture is from NorthernTool.com and just over $200. Is that a good price?

Works for me and I weighed 275lbs the last time I used it. That is called proof testing!!

yeh, I use mine all the time. I have mine adjusted up on about the 2nd notch. It probably adjusts up as high as 7'. As for sturdiness... ..... it held my 360 lb friend. :--) I was a little worried when I loaned it out, but it came back OK.

HEY - how interesting!



I used to MAKE those things in a small privately owned manufacturing plant in Manteca California back in the late '60's - that's where I learned to weld!



GM eventually bought us out, and since then I've only seen several of them around - I wonder who owns the manufacturing rights to them now?
