Oil pan is leaking and I don't want to over torq the bolts. Does anyone know the specs for the oil pan bolts. Thanks

Also had another question---- is there an easy way to check the timing. I had it changed to 16*, but with my fuel milage being low I would like to see if they really did it.

Lowell, '95 manual says 18 ft/lbs on the pan but they also say 60 ft/lbs on the drain plug in the next sentence. Seems too high to me. Can't always trust the manual.

If you call around some area diesel shops one may have a diesel timing light which is much easier/cheaper than the dial indicator method for just checking the timing. Still a bit involved though because they still need to find TDC and mark the damper pulley but won't cost as much as changing the timing.
