Just a note to let other 47RH automatic transmission owners know what fixed my 1995 torque converter clutch lock-up problem.
The brake light switch mounted above the brake pedal !!!!
Although not listed in the repair manual as a control input to the PCM for TCC lock-up, this switch... when malfunctioning... will kill both the cruise control and the torque converter clutch lock-up!
I chased my tail for a couple of weekends trying to find out what the problem was... and reading the TDR comments from other subscibers, indicates they have all done the same... for one reason or another.
At any rate, the brake light switch was my problem and has been corrected (replaced). I hope this information helps some of you out if you have experienced this same problem.
