I just installed a G Bros torque converter and whenever the engine is turned off, it really turns off. Has anyone else expeienced a change in the way the engine and drivetrain components stop whenever you turn the ignition off after performing this install? Mine stops hard and fast and a whole lot louder. Should I be concerned?

I dont think the tc made it stop faster. you probably just noticed that it does stop fast beacause you were paying more attention after the install. all of these things shut down so fast that the belts sqeek. its the nature of the beast. if you do a search you will see alot of discussion about it.

I'm familiar with the 'chirp' noise the engine typically makes once stopped. However, at times ,this new noise I hear is more of an extremely loud clank rather than a chirp.

Unless your TC is locked up when you shut the engine off (Which I really doubt) the addition of a tighter converter isn't going to make any difference in how your engine stops.

Well if its more of a clank. I would definetly check all your converter nuts and make sure they are tight. I have a triple disk and it didnt change anything about how the truck starts or stops... ... ... ... ... .
