Alright so I ws wondering if when I am driving at about +-45 my torque converter will lock up and then kick down. and then repeat if i stay around 45 but if I am at 47 it will just stay locked is this normal or will I be replacing a converter soon?

yea, just had it happen to me recently after installing some upgrades - not sure exactly what causes it. The TCC signal wire coming out of the PCM is susecptible to noise. There are inexpensive kits available to fix it. I got mine from BD for less than $10, or those that are electrically inclined could probably make their own. I would definitely try that first before digging into the converter.

Seems as though the 99's are prone to doing the lock/unlock scenario. Wrap the alternator ground wire with 2 layers of tin foil and then cover with tape. You will probably see an immediate fix to the problem. Either way, order a DTT noise filter.
