My truck will shift all gears with no problem, but when TC locked up, if I'm driving around 40mph/50mph and step on throttle transmission feels like it's slipping, a lot.

Just like a standard stick shift when cluck slips. If I backup throttle and go a little easier it will drive fine. I don't have any shudder, which should be a sympthom, just a big slip. Sometimes stops slipping if I give it full throttle.

Is my TC going south ???

mine is doing the same thing. im sure it is my tc. for a while i thought it was my fourth gear clutches. but i was pulling a trailer, locked out fourth gear and hammered it, and guess what? still slips. i have been researching convertors. the good ones are expensive. i think i am going with a dtt. just my . 02.

I wouldn't mind replacing TC but I would hate to do it then have to remove transmission again to rebuild it.

I will call Goerend and see, maybe just a TC and VB will do the trick.....

dave is the man when it comes to a good TC. been runing one of his for a year now and puting alot of power to it and it wont slip.

my truck acted similar to yours but with more shuddering thats when I decided to have everything redone, it is expensive, but now with a full billet DTT trans I couldnt be more pleased, and when I pulling it works awesome :D it was really bad when I was pulling the 5er it wouldnt even make it up a 5% grade to our property I had to turn around and that was only with the EZ and no injectors, just the hybrid turbo, after that rebuild the mods kept coming and I dont think I am done YET :-laf
