I have a 2001 auto. I'm considering a torque convertor upgrade and wanted to know what brand others had used and were you happy with the results after installation? thanks for helping me gather info before making a decision.

I really like my

www.dieseltrans.com VB & TC

IMHO there is nothing to compare it too.

The product and customer support is second to none :)

Check the archive and i am sure a few more opinions will be voiced :D

Make sure you try to drive a truck with a different TC (any aftermarket one)... ... it will change your driving habits.

I went with a brand X tc and valve body, added 100 hp and was supposed to hold an extra 175hp, it lasted 3 hours.

Now I have 460 hp with DTT's VB/TC for over 16000 miles and no problems. But make sure you get the smart controller if you going to get a lot of power.

DTT is the only way to go.

Good Luck

Don't made the same mistake that some of us have made,Bill K at DTT is the guy you want to talk to,he is very friendly and he knows whats going on with our trannys, and you will like it with the torque convertor, but you will LOVE it with the valve body that goes with it,the absolute best money I ever spent, and since your truck is new the transmission it self is in new shape, this is the best time to do it,not after you get a bunch of miles on it. Just my opinion.

Good luck. .

As others stated above DTT is the only way to go.

Massdiesel has had people drive from around your neck of the woods for installs, you may want to contact him. Just a suggestion.

Big Blue Toy - DTT is the way to go. Many people describe DTT with superlatives but don't describe the "feeling". Let me give you an idea, this is a "seat of the pants" feeling only.

We were camped for 3 nights on fairly long wet grass in our 10,000lb 5th wheel. When we left the campsite the truck pulled without having to use the throttle, now that is torque! Most campgrounds have a speed limit of 5-10 mph, in order to keep to that limit I have my foot on the brake!

You will also notice the difference going from park to drive with your foot on the brake. The engine really growls more. :D :D

Don't screw around getting the tc now and the vb later, do it all at once!! Get the wife a second job if need be! Oh, and while you're at it throw in a EZ as well. Really brings the Cummins to life.

Hope this has you convinced.

DTT!

I have had BD and driven Rams with other brands of aftermarket transmission enhancements installed and nothing compares to DTT! Nothing!

Has Diesel Transmission Technologies Been Mentioned Yet?

Oh Yah, THere it is. DTT is like, um,, How Do I say,, The Best?

Bill K. Won't tell ya wrong, He's not Politically correct,, If you are tearing up your transmission some how,, HE'S GONNA TELL YOU STRAIGHT OUT, None of the,, "Well ya know, Maybe ya could and it might be ok"

Stefan K. 's Cummins truck is @500HP. He has the DTT Stuff in it.

I've heard Customer Service is Top Notch, and All Torque Converters, and Valve Body's are tailoered to match each customers specific needs, and driving styles.
