I need some help on what to do. I just toasted my 2nd Touque converter and the dealer is going to replace it on tuesday. I need to do something to HELP prevent this from happening again. I seen post that say to have the dealer flash the computer to prevent lock up until 54 mph also to use a switch to prevent lock up until desired. I talked to the dealer and they said they would do the flash if thats what I wanted. I would prefer to upgrade the valve body and torque conveter but thats not in my budget until next year so I have to get by for now! Any comments would be great!:) I do have one good thing to report they replaced my lift pump without giving my a bunch of grief. Before psi was 11 at idle 1 at WOT now it is 15 at idle and 8 at WOT:cool:

Just curious....

Did you leave the EZ on when you went to the dealer. It would be very unusual if they would warrant a TC with a EZ. But then maybe you have one of the good dealers.

You must be hard on trannies or you are not listing all your mods. I think it would be tough to blow up transmission with just an EZ. My only suggestion is to take the ez off and live in the slow lane.

Only EZ

Yeah I only have EZ on my truck and no I did not leave it on there when I took it in. I do have a good dealer but some of the "bosses" there would say something about the EZ so I dont take that chance!!! I am toasting the lock up part of the torque converter. I need the best thing to help prevent it cause it all starts with a slight shudder then over a few months starts to slip so bad the whole truck rattles your teeth out. Once you put the EZ on its too hard to take off I would really miss it;)
