I have a Dunrite converter, 1400 rpm stall according to the box and Trans Go shift kit. Installed Feb. 20, 2000 and no problems so far. Have put about 4000 miles on it, towing about 80% of the time. The stuff I tow only weighs 3k, not anything like these 10k plus 5th wheelers like many of the other guys. But I do live on an island that is actually the top of a mountain, so I am towing up many hills, some pretty steep. Bought this from TST, who told me a stock engine would not be able to pull this converter, it would bog, but if you had at least their #8 plate, 230hp/605lbs kit, no problem. I am running their #5, (270/670). Stock I would see the tach go to 2000 rpm before I felt the truck start to move. Now the truck moves just before the tach shows 1500. To me it has made a huge difference and trans does not have the slippage like it had before. A friend of mine who has an ISB with the VA & BB set at 15% and only the BD valve body, is going to put in a Dunrite after driving my truck and seeing the difference in TC lockup. I don't know anything about the SunCoast, except from the pictures it sure looks pretty. Kind of a shame such a nice looking part would be hidden from view.
