My truck will not build boost with one foot planted on the brake pedal and the other pushing the go pedal to the floor. If the road surface is slippery, wet or sandy, the rear wheels break a little traction, and it builds boost. When I flip on the box (Blue Chip FMS) it bogs down worse. I am running a large charger now, but it did it when I had a small S300. Is Torque management to blame? It smokes like crazy, but something is holding it back.

I have M-4's II SB66, II HRVP, SMARTY, FMS.

I have a BD RAD on order

Thanks,

Tim

The Smarty will do almost the same thing as a RAD on the CATCHER settings, the higher the catcher the less tq mgmnt there is. The RAD eliminates it completely the smarty doesn't but you should still be able to do a boosted brake stand. Except you have a big turbo and it needs a lot of rpm air flow to get it rolling to start with, a lot of fuel will not help down low as Vaughn pointed out.

I've tried it with SMARTY on level 9 with no success. I think Vaughn is correct when he said I'm putting out the fire. I'll try the RAD and see what happens, I should have it tomorrow. Thanks for the reply, I'll get to the bottom of this sooner or later. I'm sure someone has the answer, but I'm willing to bet it's torque management.

It was torque management!!! I installed the BD RAD and all I can say is Oo. The truck builds loads of boost while standing on the brake quickly. The RAD solved my problem completely!! I lose the tach when the switch is engaged, but I'll only use it when racing or play.
