I need to change my transmission fluid tomorrow... . Does anyone have the torque specs handy for a 2001 automatic transmission oil pan and filter?

Thanks,

Doug

Torque spec:

Doug: turn 'em 'till they strip, then back off half a turn :D :D

If I remember correctly the spec is about 80-100 INCH pounds. But I found that just going around the pan several times using a 1/4" drive ratchet gave better results.

My pan developed a leak with the 'torque it once and forget it' routine. I believe it was the pan gasket slowly relaxing and this resulted in a leak.

Check them in a day or two, I always find one or two not as tight as the others.

Did you run the 1/4 mile yet??
