Anyone have one of these? Would like to buy a large steel or hard plastic one thats 5" to match my BHAF. Cant seem to find one for sale so I might go with an exhaust elbow painted to match. Gimme some ideas.

From your response I take it you don't run an air filter?

Here are some FACTS:

1. A stock filter flows around 390 cfm till I drive down my dirt road then its worse.

2. My Fleetguard AH19004 (BHAF) flows over 900 cfm.

3. A K&N doesn't filter enough with the amount of air that is drawn through them with the factory air box and the oil puts a coating on all intake surfaces, sensors, and on the turbo.

I will agree that the factory tube may flow better by itself than my BHAF but that was not my question... .

I have a BHAF to allow my TTPM, BD2 injectors, PM3, and 5" exhaust to perform to their maximum. The only thing I've sucked up in my BHAF is a little bit o' dust and the occasional "PowerJoke" or "Durasux" that can't get outta my way fast enough.

What my question is:

Are there any manufactures that have a torque tube designed for use with a BHAF of some type? If not I will make my own and become $RICH$ or the idiot with the goofy air tube.

I DO run an airfilter,An AFE. I don't know where you got your flow number for the bhf or at what restriction level(inches of water or Mercury) But that is no where near the numbers I have seen on a flow bench.

To answer your question, nobody mass produces a tube like what you are asking for. The AFE proguard 7 filter will filter out any thing that is neccessary and their system is the highest flowing being produced today.

At our last dyno day we pulled off a BHAF and installed a PG-7 and made 7 hp. Enough said!:D

8 hp... not alot for $300 but "dyno proven". I'm not gonna spend $300 on an air cleaner assembly for that small of a gain. I have full faith in my BHAF. If the "AFE proguard 7 filter" was that good, we would see them on the big rigs that run 7-800,000 miles in their lifetime. Their turbos suck alot more air than my 35 does. I plan on changing my air filter-not just cleaning it. Seems to me it would be the same as cleaning your oil filter. They only last so long. After doing some research I'm positive the proguard is a better product than any BHAF. I'm not gonna argue with anyone over air filters. Your happy with it... To each man his own.

I did look at some proguards for sale and noticed the metal tube thats available to go with it. Not that I will buy it any time soon but without your comments I would probably not have seen it. Got some new ideas for a torque tube(my original question) so thanks for the help. ;)
