With the electronic acumulator and govenor, they are very sensitive to fluid level. Hard to believe they draw raw unfiltered fluid into the govenor which i think may have a screen in it. Anyway, it hangs down on bottom of the valve body immersed in fluid. Unless the fluid is too low.
If it is gummed up, you will have shifting out of and downshifting into 1st gear as most commone problems. Easy to change though.
