Torques pecs caliper "Q"

I'm replacing the two front brake pads on my 04 2500 diesel 4x4. The Haynes repair manuel I have for this model. Calls for 210lbs to tighten the two front caliper bolts? that seems a bit tight no?? I'm think I would strip the threads. Any body know for sure. Also, when I took them off (1st time ever,)they were really loose, and NOT 210lbs Thanks any one and all

That sounds like the caliper bracket to the spindle tq, not the actual caliper itself. Can't help you on the caliper though.

Very good point!!! thanks I reread it, I was sooo wrong. Duhhhhh it's 24lbs on the pad's. Thanks, till next goof up. jackson out
