I'm replacing the two front brake pads on my 04 2500 diesel 4x4. The Haynes repair manuel I have for this model. Calls for 210lbs to tighten the two front caliper bolts? that seems a bit tight no?? :eek: I'm think I would strip the threads. Any body know for sure. Also, when I took them off (1st time ever,)they were really loose, and NOT 210lbs :confused: Thanks any one and all:)
 
That sounds like the caliper bracket to the spindle tq, not the actual caliper itself. Can't help you on the caliper though.
 
Very good point!!! thanks I reread it, I was sooo wrong. Duhhhhh it's 24lbs on the pad's. Thanks, till next goof up. jackson out
